About Angela

Angela Wimmer

For more than two decades, Angela Wimmer has been the person organizations call when the stakes are high, the situation is ambiguous, and the cost of a misstep is real. She runs toward the fire. She always has.

Her work spans asset management, healthcare, and higher education, usually at the moments when leadership was changing hands or the whole enterprise was on the line. She has guided a billion-dollar firm through founder succession, raised hundreds of millions of dollars, and built teams and systems designed to outlast her. She serves on corporate boards and invests in founder-led companies, with a particular focus on the ones the market tends to overlook. She is an active member of the Young Presidents' Organization and has been recognized by the Memphis Business Journal as one of its Women Who Lead in Wealth Management.

Somewhere in the middle of all that building, she noticed something she had never named. The same intensity that made her exceptional was quietly extracting a cost from the people closest to her: her husband, her daughters, her colleagues. They had been keeping a ledger she had never seen. And she was not the only high achiever running the pattern.

That recognition became The Intensity Architect, a handbook for high achievers and the people in their wake. It draws on neuroscience, behavioral science, and her own unvarnished story to give driven people a way to steer their intensity instead of being steered by it. At its center is a system she calls the Five R's.

Angela lives in Memphis with her husband Kevin, her Freight Train, and their daughters. When she is not writing or speaking, she is usually doing something at an intensity level that would alarm most people and delight the few who know her best.
