Angela Wimmer

Angela Wimmer is a senior executive, board member, and investor with more than two decades of experience leading organizations through their highest-stakes moments. She is the person organizations call when the situation is ambiguous and the cost of a misstep is high.

She has held C-suite and cabinet-level roles across asset management, healthcare, and higher education, guiding institutions through founder transitions, leadership succession, and complex, high-growth change. As President and Principal of a leading institutional asset management firm, she led the successful transition from founder-led leadership to next-generation ownership, retaining client relationships through a period of significant organizational change. Earlier in her career, she served on the executive leadership team of a major academic health science center, where she more than doubled fundraising in her first year.

Somewhere in the middle of all that building, she noticed something she had never named. The same intensity that made her exceptional was quietly extracting a cost from the people in her wake: her husband, her daughters, her closest colleagues. They had been keeping a ledger she had never seen. That recognition became The Intensity Architect, a handbook for high achievers and the people in their wake, drawing on neuroscience, behavioral science, and her own unvarnished story to help driven people direct their intensity instead of being directed by it.

She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish and a master's degree in leadership and organizational development from Auburn University. Angela is a current member of Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), serving on the YPO Financial Services Network Board and her local chapter board. She is an angel investor in founder-led companies and was named a 2024 Women Who Lead in Wealth Management honoree by the Memphis Business Journal.
